Job Position - GCP Data Engineer

Responsibilities:


- Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows within the Google Cloud Platform environment.


- Constructing and enhancing BigQuery data models and datasets to ensure optimal performance and scalability.


- Utilizing Dataform for the management and documentation of data transformation processes.


- Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and other relevant stakeholders to ascertain data requirements and develop suitable solutions.


- Ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of data in accordance with established best practices and standards.


- Monitoring and optimizing data processing and storage resources on GCP.


- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to data pipelines and performance bottlenecks.


- Documenting data engineering workflows, best practices, and technical specifications.


Requirements:


- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.


- Demonstrated experience as a data engineer, particularly with GCP.


- Strong command of SQL and familiarity with various database technologies.


- Practical experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataform, and other tools associated with GCP data engineering.


- Understanding of data warehouse principles and methodologies.


- Knowledge of Airflow/Cloud Composer for orchestrating data workflows.


- Experience with cloud computing platforms and services.


- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.


- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.


- Google Cloud certification is advantageous.
